Orbily's safety features get word to the people who already care about you. An SOS alerts everyone in your orbit with where you are, and a check-in tells them you have arrived. SOS and check-ins are free on every plan. Orbily is not an emergency service: if someone is in danger, call 999 in the UK, or your local emergency number, first.

How does an SOS work in Orbily?
Tap SOS and a 10-second countdown starts, so a mistaken tap can be cancelled. Then everyone else in your orbit is alerted, with where you were at that moment. They tap “I'm on it” so you and the others know someone is responding. When you are safe, you end it with “I'm safe now”.
What is a check-in?
A check-in is a quick “I'm here”. Pick a nearby place, add a message if you like, and it goes to the orbit's chat and map. The check-in's location is removed after 24 hours.
Is Orbily an emergency service?
No. Orbily connects you with your people. It does not call the emergency services for you and does not detect crashes. If someone is in danger, call 999 in the UK, 112 in Europe, 911 in the US, or your local emergency number.
Are the safety features free?
Yes. SOS and check-ins are free for everyone, and they will stay free if a paid plan is added. Safety is never behind a subscription.
