A Find My alternative for families with Android and iPhone

Apple's Find My is free, built into every iPhone and good at finding lost devices. Sharing your location with people through Apple needs an iPhone at both ends, so a family or a friend group with one Android phone is left out. Orbily works on both, and adds what a group needs around the map: SOS, check-ins, arrival alerts, a chat and a shared plan.

Where Find My is ahead

  • It is built into every iPhone, free, and needs nothing installed.
  • It finds lost devices and items, which Orbily does not.

Can I share my location between Android and iPhone?

Yes, with Orbily. An orbit is a private group of the people you choose, and everyone in it sees the same map whether they use an iPhone or an Android phone.

What does Orbily add to sharing a location?

The things a group needs around the map: an SOS that alerts everyone at once, check-ins, alerts when someone gets home, safety boundaries both people agree to, a private chat and a shared calendar. The safety features are free on every plan.

Do I have to share my location all the time?

No. You choose for each orbit: share live, share on a timer, or post updates only, with no location at all. You can stop at any moment, and your live position is removed straight away.

More questions about Orbily and Find My

Not for finding lost devices. Many families keep Find My for that and use Orbily for the group: one map for every phone, with the chat, the plan and the safety features beside it.
