Tap Ask to check in
Pick a reason, such as home soon, or write your own.
Choose how long they have
15 minutes, 30 minutes, an hour or two hours. They get a reminder halfway through.
Wait for the answer
Their check-in comes back to you. If the window passes with no answer, you see when they were last seen and their battery, with Call, Message and Ask again.
Does the person have to share their location?
No. A check-in is a single share of the place they pick, so it works for people who never share live.
