How to send an SOS to your orbit
An SOS in Orbily alerts everyone in your orbit at once, with where you are. It is free on every plan. Orbily is not an emergency service: if you are in danger, call 999 in the UK, or your local emergency number, first.

Tap SOS
It is on the Safety tab. A 10-second countdown starts, so a mistaken tap can be cancelled.
Your orbit is alerted
Everyone else in the orbit gets an alert with a siren, whether or not they share their location, with where you were at that moment.
Someone responds
They tap I'm on it, so you and everyone else can see who is responding. They can call you, or get directions to you.
End it when you are safe
Tap I'm safe, and the orbit is told.
Does an SOS share my live location?
No. An SOS sends one snapshot of where you were when you sent it. It does not switch on live sharing, and the position is removed after 24 hours.
Does Orbily call the emergency services?
No. Orbily does not call them for you: it alerts your orbit, and the SOS screen has a button to call the emergency services yourself. Orbily is not an emergency service.
Questions people ask next
Yes. SOS is free on every plan, and always will be.
The SOS still goes, and says your location is unavailable, so your orbit knows to ask where you are.
