How to set up a safety boundary, with their agreement
A safety boundary in Orbily is always a request. You draw the area and choose the times; the person it covers sees exactly that, and decides. This guide covers asking. If someone has asked you, read the guide on answering a boundary request.

Open their person sheet
On the map, tap the person, then tap Add a boundary. They need to share live in this orbit, and to allow boundary requests.
Read how boundaries work
Every new boundary starts with the same short explainer, so the rules are clear each time. Tap Draw a boundary to carry on.
Draw the area
Drag the corners to fit the place — home, school, the high street — and move the whole shape with its centre grip.
Choose when it is on
All the time, up to four weekly windows such as school hours, or just once. Times follow the other person's time zone.
Send the request
They see the exact area, the times and what you will be told, and accept or say Not now. You are told their answer.
What will I be told once they accept?
If they leave the area while it is on, you are told, and they are told that you were. When they are back inside, you hear that too. You never see where they went outside it, and Orbily keeps only the direction and the time of each crossing.
Do I need Orbily Plus?
Asking for a new boundary needs someone in the orbit to have Orbily Plus. Being asked, answering, every alert and switching a boundary off are free for everyone.
Questions people ask next
Yes, but the change is a new request. The version they agreed keeps running until they accept the change.
