A stag or hen do with nobody left behind

A stag or hen do is a weekend of plans that change, people who wander off and a group chat that scrolls too fast. A temporary orbit in Orbily keeps the plan, the decisions and the map in one place, and ends on Sunday.

How it plays out

  1. Three weeks before

Ben, the best man, creates a temporary orbit for the stag, ending on Sunday at 8pm, and invites the group from the invite screen.

  2. The week before

A poll in the chat settles go-karting over paintball, and the karting, the dinner and the bar go on the plan with their places.

  3. Saturday, 3pm

The meeting point for the karting is on the map, with Directions for anyone coming from the station.

  4. Saturday, midnight

The group splits between two bars. Those sharing can see who is where, and Ben asks the groom to check in when his pin stops moving.

  5. Sunday, 8pm

The orbit ends. Sharing stops by itself, and the photos stay for the wedding speech.

What helps

Can we vote on plans in Orbily?

Yes. Start a poll from the orbit's chat, add the options and a closing time, and let everyone vote. Polls can be anonymous.

Does everyone have to share their location?

No. Each person chooses as they join, and can switch to updates only, or stop, at any time.
